Strengthening the Collective Voice of the Disability Sector

The South African Disability Alliance (SADA) is a national consultative forum uniting disability organisations to advance the rights, dignity, and full participation of persons with disabilities in South Africa.

Membership of SADA provides organisations with a unified platform to influence policy, contribute to national advocacy, and collaborate across the disability sector.

Membership Categories

SADA recognises two categories of membership:

Full Membership

Full Membership is open to organisations that:

  • Operate in at least 50% of South Africa’s provinces (minimum five provinces) or have a national footprint

  • Have disability as their core focus and function

  • Are formally registered as an NPO or Non-Profit Company (NPC)

  • Are apolitical and not aligned to any political party

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is available to organisations that:

  • Have a direct interest in the disability sector beyond commercial interest

  • Are formally registered entities (NPO, Professional Body, Trust, etc.)

  • May not meet the national footprint requirement for full membership
